Welcome to the Kent and Medway Social Enterprise Network (KaMSEN).
KaMSEN CIC is the social enterprise network for Kent & Medway and surrounding Local Enterprise Partnership area and works alongside ESSEN [East Sussex Social Enterprise Network] and with Essex. It was established in 2005 as part of a regional initiative supported by SEEDA to promote and support development of social enterprise.
KaMSEN CIC is a member of the regional SE2 partnership
KaMSEN CIC delivers its work through its 4 Directors bringing in other expertise where required. All Directors are qualified and experienced social enterprise advisers who between them have many years practical experience of developing and running social economy organisations and partnership projects, including charities, voluntary and community organisations, private business and social enterprise. They work closely with other infrastructure organisations locally and further afield and are part of regional activity to support use of the social enterprise business model and a successful social economy.
Individual directors bring additional specialisms: these include dyslexia and access, community participation, rural development, IT and web development, marketing, and social impact measurement.
Current and past work includes: Delivery of OCS events and workshops programme to promote and support social enterprise [2009-10 and 2010-2011], small group support programme for SROI [social impact] [2011], work in Maidstone with Maidstone DC to undertake diagnostic business reviews for voluntary sector organisations [2011], partnership with Canterbury Christ Church University to deliver seminar programme and promote social enterprise as a business opportunity [2011].
